Manchester City confirmed the news of their historic manager's departure through an official farewell video.
 
It was revealed that Pep Guardiola himself wrote the script for the farewell video to announce his departure from the club.
 
In the three-minute and thirty-second video, the Spanish tactician described his time at the club using beautifully crafted and artistic words. This farewell video is currently available on Manchester City's social media pages.
 
Pep Guardiola, a dominant force in European football, had a highly successful 10-year stay at Manchester City, winning 20 trophies. With this achievement, he becomes the manager who has won the most trophies in Manchester City's history. He will say goodbye to the club during Sunday's match against Aston Villa.
 
A New Role and Special Honors
 
Although Pep Guardiola is leaving his role as Manchester City's manager, it has been reported that he has been given a new responsibility.
 
It was officially announced that Pep Guardiola has been appointed as the Global Ambassador for the City Football Group (CFG). Moving forward, it is said that Pep will work together with the group by providing technical advice to the clubs under CFG.
 
Additionally, Manchester City announced that they have named a section of the Etihad Stadium after manager Pep Guardiola. The North Stand, which the club is currently expanding, has been named "The Pep Guardiola Stand."
 
Furthermore, Manchester City revealed that a statue will be built for him. The statue will stand near the stadium section named "The Pep Guardiola Stand."

Stating that the club needs a new manager and fresh energy, Pep mentioned that the next manager (Enzo Maresca) will have an incredible group of players.
 
"Right now, I have no energy left. The strength I had has left me after ten years of work," the manager said, explaining that his job is highly exhausting and pointing out his need for a rest.
 
Expressing his desire to properly say goodbye to the fans on Sunday and hug everyone on the pitch, Pep said, "I have won 20 trophies with Manchester City, but the phone call I received yesterday from De Bruyne means the world to me."
 
He added, "Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager in the history of English football. Yesterday, I received a message from Sir Alex Ferguson! That made me very happy."
 
Manager Enzo Maresca will replace Guardiola and take over Manchester City.
 
Additionally, following Pep Guardiola's departure from Manchester City, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has now become the longest-serving manager at a single club in the Premier League.
