Russia and China Sign Agreement to Counter American Influence

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping signed a joint statement today in Beijing aimed at building a new type of multipolar world.

This agreement comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump concluded his visit to China without signing any major agreements, a move viewed as a strong political message sent to Washington.

During that visit just days ago, the White House announced that the two sides had reached agreements on several issues, including the protection of the Strait of Hormuz, which has a significant impact on global economic activity and energy supplies. At that time, President Xi Jinping stated that China opposed any attempt to conduct military activities in the strait and expressed an interest in purchasing more American oil to reduce China's future reliance on the strait.

It was widely reported at the time that President Xi Jinping warned that the Taiwan issue is the most important matter in China-U.S. relations and that if not handled properly, the overall bilateral relationship could be in jeopardy. President Trump, for his part, described his discussions with President Xi Jinping as extremely positive and productive, stating that a very special relationship was being formed between the two countries.

However, in today's talks between Russia and China, President Xi Jinping cited the China-Russia relationship as a model for relations between major powers. Without explicitly naming the United States, he warned that "tendencies toward unilateralism and hegemony are spreading in the world."

During the summit, the two leaders renewed the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, originally signed in July 2001, and agreed to further strengthen their strategic ties.

Nevertheless, although both sides showed a united front to counter pressure from the West, they have still not been able to reach an agreement on the construction of the massive "Power of Siberia 2" gas pipeline, a project Russia has been advocating for years.

On another front, regarding the Iran war in the Middle East, The Moscow Times reported that in his talks with President Putin, President Xi Jinping stated that further conflicts in the region are inadvisable and dangerous, emphasizing that a comprehensive ceasefire must be reached immediately.

Despite these calls from the two countries, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has warned that any new military attack on Iran will significantly expand the current conflict far beyond the Middle East region.

In an official statement released today, the Revolutionary Guard stated that the United States and Israel have failed to learn lessons from their repeated strategic defeats in Iran. The statement indicated that even if their enemies were to use their full capacity in conjunction with two of the world's most expensive combined military forces to launch an attack, Iran has yet to utilize the full power of its revolution.

Furthermore, the Revolutionary Guard warned that if any military provocation against Iran is repeated, the threatened regional war will this time spill over beyond the boundaries of the region.

Finally, the statement issued a final warning to the U.S.-Israel alliance: "We are people of war; therefore, our power and strength are seen on the battlefield, not in empty statements and on social media pages."
